Yahoo’s Brand new logo

Hello to yahoo’s new logo

Yahoo retired its 18-year old logo and rolled out a new design online early Thursday morning. It’s part of an effort from CEO Marissa Mayer to inject some fresh visual interest into the venerable tech brand, while keeping the familiar color and exclamation point.

After 30 days of teasing new, but overall incredibly similar designs, yahoo unveiled its next official logo at midnight.

The logo changed from this to

To this.

According to Yahoo blog, “We wanted a logo that stayed true to our roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embraced the evolution of our products.”

The logo was shown in purple spelling out the word Yahoo!, with no letters touching and ending with an exclamation point.
